Abandonment.

abandon |əˈbandən|
cease to support or look after; desert, leave empty or uninhabited, without intending to return.

"Art is never finished, only abandoned."

I invented a time-machine.
I wont be back for a while.
If I like it, I might not return.

I'm so scared to begin anew.
The thought of being alone,
unnerves my inner actuality.

I will call on all my inner courage. 
Come what may.
I am ready.

"I may not have gone where I intended to go, 
but I think I have ended up where I needed to be."

These past weeks prove 
that if you are open to change
change will come.

"But interestingly, "fate" isn't the same thing as "destiny".
Even if lovers are fated to find each other
they may not end up together.
The proverb, "have fate without destiny,"
describes couples who meet,
but who don't stay together, for whatever reason.
It's interesting, to distinguish in love 
between the fated and the destined."

Strangely enough,
I've found myself in quite the pickle.
Without comprehension,
without understanding it completely.
I became something I did not expect.

actual existence, typically as contrasted with what was intended, expected, or believed.

"Happiness is never stopping to think if you are."

I have departed from the world,
as you know it.
I'm off to begin the journey.
I don't know where I am going
but I am on my way.

and not everything that counts can be counted."

  1. Fated and destined is even more interesting when you put it in a post like this one... very clever Miss Bates, you tie the quotes and your thoughts together so nicely. Somehow you reveal so much and nothing, all at the same time. It's the sort of piece I could read over and over again...
