F is for Fable. A-Z Challenge 2015

Fable
A tale of verse, often using animals or inanimate objects as characters,
that illistrates or teaches a moral.

When you look out the window.
Flowers and greens,
control the atmosphere.
Blessing everything in it's path.
Funky caterpillars, climbing the trees.
Flamboyant webs spun with precision.
Vibrant buzzing, in-between
Round yellow eyes, watching.
Long stretch, mouth yawning,
in extreme stillness.
With the sun, roasting his back.
The little cat displayed an absentminded smile,
there is no frilled dragon coming his way.

The moral of the poem is, enjoy the time you get to just relax and realise how wonderful the world is, if you just let it.
-Miss Bates.

  1. Lovely poem! We all need to remember how wonderful things can be from time to time.

  2. Doing nothing in the sun, what could be better.

  3. And that's even more of a tongue twister. The mention of the cat and the dragon reminds me of watching cats vainly trying to catch dragonflies.
